Why should someone who suffers from Alzheimer's to play checkers well, but have difficulty holding a conversation reasonable? ???
Two completely different areas of the brain, creativity and memory are on opposite sides. Memory may be affected by Alzheimer's disease, but the creative side is fundamentally unchanged.
Theoretically
There are different forms of the disease. No doubt women is a task learned early and is pretty entrenched. It is less likely to be affected. Short-term memory is affected by the disease and there is little repetition hold a conversation. We're sure you've seen someone who can knit, and hold a conversation.
