Breast Cancer Metastasis Treatment

Breast Cancer Metastasis TreatmentSupraclavicular Node observed in eight months after treatment of breast cancer, this could be a metastasis? ?

Diagnosed in March 2007 with Stage 1 breast cancer, the right breast. Axillary node removed, negative for cancer. I went to chemotherapy and radiation, was completed in February 2008. I went to follow up on October 13, first time for monitoring need a break from doctors for some time. Complained of pain that I had for the last 2-3 months at the top of the right breast above the shoulder and back. Sono showed a tumor in the supraclavicular node, right side. I have a scan on Thursday, 30.
What is a CT show? Being that I just finished the treatment of metastatic seems likely is the answer?

We hope it will prove Benin or something different, but yes metastasis is always a concern once you have received a diagnosis of cancer.
Cancer can be very misleading. A CT gives a better image of the tumor or for cash and may also give an indication if there are more tumors to be seen. Be persistent about it. . you need to know exactly what you are dealing. Also, if this proves to be nothing, it's always a good idea to have TB or even a PET scan to use as "base". . The doctor must compare the scans every three to six months to ensure that the cancer is gone or tumor extent of withdrawal or relapse track.

Good luck and be strong.

It seems that the metastases. My mother had 9 nodes removed before she lost her left breast completely. Best wishes.

A CT scan shows an increase in metabolism. This may be a cancer, it can also be an infection, it can also be swelling of your previous surgery.

I would say that since it is in this position and it is a lymph node (how many cancers spread), it is very possible, it is a metastasis. Hope that the nodes that are inflammation of the fight against cancer and surgery.
Good luck, I think of you.
