Does anyone remember the name of children liquid vitamins in the back in the 1950s? I remember mom to call for an unusual name. They came with a dropper to give the right amount. It has an exceptionally strong aroma as well. I felt this when I smell before opening certain containers of vitamins, but for the life of me can not remember the original name. Keep in mind this was the late 50s and 60s very early as I speak, if not sooner. I gave my son liquid vitamins in the 1970s, but they have not the same brand that I had a small child. As I grew, I took one day and Cales Who were some red pills. They had a sour taste, because I chew them instead of swallowing. lol I think I must have a mouth very rare when it comes to things like that. Any help to determine the name of these liquid vitamins would be appreciated. :)
I remember my mother giving bad smell liquid vitamins for my little brother in 1954-55. I seem to remember the name of Abdec. They came in a brown bottle and had a dropper in the bottle for easy use. Does this ring a bell with you?
I do not remember the name but I seem to remember they were the children's teeth turn a shade of gray.
I fear I can not help with the name, but I bet a dollar, it will be hours before I get the smell of my mind. I do not know about you, but this thing felt bad for me and not in good taste.
My memory seems to think it is brown, its not right for you???
Not a liquid, but a little red pill, my sister and I took all morning. I hated taking the pill so I would push the mine through a small hole behind the kitchen sink. Years later when the father has taken the sink and countertop, there on the floor of the hundreds of red pills! Poppy
I found this on Google. Someone wanted to know the name and think it is spelled something like that "ear-a-doll"

I remember only two liquid vitamins come in brown bottles. Mom gave us a spoonful every morning before leaving for school. I am not sure of the spelling here and if I am a little more spelling it look, please. LOL One was Geritol and the other Hattical. Would either of these may be. They were loaded with iron and I can try and write them now. Ugh
It seems to me remember them as "Vita-drops." I could see if I could get my baby book ... but in a different place! Taste and smell are something that will not quit Never my mind! I once bought some vitamins paste for kittens and it smelled the same ... honest!
I took those too ... I'm 60 and I was born in 48 but I can still smell and taste what kind of things. It was brown, but I do not remember the name of it. a™¥

I know the smell you refer. Are you sure it was not something
Iron deficiency, instead of vitamins? I had to take a teaspoon of
sweet sticky brown liquid for my dose of iron. And then a teaspoon
of cod liver oil for my vitamins before school too. I've always been sick
as a child until my tonsils were removed. So if the mother had experienced
a liquid vitamin, it would have on me too. I hated cod liver
oil and iron this thing. In the late '40s through the early 50s.
Polyvisol (sp?). The liquid baby vitamins prescribed.
