Composite Veneers

Composite VeneersThe use of veneers cosmetic dentistry

There are many procedures involved in teeth restoration and overall dental aesthetics, some are dental fillings, crowns, teeth whitening, veneers, etc. today we'll talk about that procedure. Veneers are thin protective layers which are applied to the patient's teeth to improve their appearance, veneers are used to fix cracked or chipped teeth and go to level uneven teeth.

There are two types of materials used for the manufacture of veneer, one of them is porcelain and the other is a composite of resins, there are many differences when it comes to these two materials used to create veneers, composite veneers can be placed directly above a patient's teeth without much preparation or they can be manufactured in a laboratory. Porcelain veneers, on the other hand, can be put in place after it was manufactured in a laboratory.

Yet another difference is observed between porcelain and composite materials is that the aspects that have been manufactured with composite materials are easier to repair because they do not tend to crack than the porcelain will be corresponding in the shade of white our teeth may be a bit of a challenge if a patient decides to use porcelain, which is why many veneers are applied to both.

The invention of this layer is not new restorative indeed, it has been around since the 1930s when a dentist named Charles Pincus their invention, the first versions were not very effective because they arrived after few days of application, the problem has been attributed mainly to the bonding material which was used to attach the tooth with a veneer.

Over time with new materials began to be tested to improve the life of these artificial implants, composite resins was very helpful because they were strong enough to bind to a porcelain tooth almost permanently, while the substance can produce results almost permanent facet of life for themselves is not that incredible, many of them will only last for about 10-15 years after it should be replaced again with the news.

It is very exciting to see how technology changes everything, using technologies such as CEREC patients are now able to obtain a numerical analysis of their mouth to help dentists in the manufacture of crowns and veneers that are perfect for the patient's mouth, all in record time.
