Cord Blood Uses

I read on the cord blood banks / uses and embryonic stem cells. What I do not understand is if the use of cord blood is limited? A report I read suggested that cord blood is only useful for immune disorders and certain cancers. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Cord blood can be saved or given. is the base that can save the life of a child, but only if they are struck by certain diseases. it will not help to push the spinal cord, but can help strengthen the immune system
