Cpr Aed Recertification

Cpr Aed RecertificationCPR Basics

CPR is a technique that is used to continue the flow of blood to vital organs when the victim went into cardiac arrest. Through the use of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by a certified person there is a greater potential for survival for the victim.

CPR has three basic but important steps that can be used on any age group. The first is to check the victim and ask loudly "Are you okay, I repeat, are you?" If no response, you must tilt the head upward, lifting the chin. Want to know if the victim is breathing by placing your cheek close to their mouth, while keeping their eyes on their chests, so as not to miss if it was up and down. If the victim is not breathing the last step is performed by a training provider who will administer CPR two breaths into the mouth of the victim, then followed by 30 chest compressions. Chest compressions are preformed by kneeling beside the victim and place your hook in the center of the chest and pressing down firmly about two inches on an adult (less than one child).

In emergency it is our tendency to act in shock and fear, but it is important to keep the clam because the CPR must be administered in a precise order and timing. This is when vital lives can be saved and that's where a provider is trained CPR will teach you how to behave in emergencies and potentially save the lives of those around you.
