Even if there is no evidence of cancer spread to lymph nodes or other organs, you should be monitored regularly with your oncologist for several years. At the very least, you should follow the work of some blood for markers that may indicate the cancer has spread. Sometimes, tamoxifen or another drug is prescribed, according to the type of cancer.
I am a survivor of 3 years and see my oncologist every six months for at least 7 years.
I see my breast surgeon every six months.
