Dental Hygiene For Kids

I remember when I was a child, the teacher should normally distribute packages of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and small plates that show the plaque on the teeth. I was wondering what site I can get more info about it. I visited Colgate and Crest and cannot seem to find something. Can someone give me the exact link of where to go for it. Thank you!

This is the link to the site of the ADA for the Children's National Dental Health Month, which is February ... you will find lots of free tips and articles that you can order if you want ...

You can ask a dentist in your area to come and talk to children ... It will also show them the correct way to brush and floss, and may even distribute dental articles of their own.

You can also send an email Oral-B, Crest, Colgate, Tom's of Maine, etc.. request samples for your class ... just know your intentions and I am sure they will send you your orders!

I think it's great that you want to help children like that. I do not know if the laity are able to obtain these types of materials. You can call around your area and find if there is a dentist who wants to help you. I found a link to "Dudley" materials (see below), but I think you must be a dentist or a member of the ADA to buy. I suspect that there may be a dentist in your area who would be willing to send some team members to make a presentation and go to toothbrushes with their name to their office or something. Do not give up. I think you do children in your class a great help and a great favor. Take care.

Fruitloop247: Teachers have every right to educate their students about brushing! There are so many parents who do not want a bit on their children's teeth! I bet you did not know that children do not have the fine motor skills that are used to properly brush their teeth until the age of nine! This means that parents should brush their teeth until the age of children!

Anyway, I would call the dentist office in your area to have them sent to a hygienist at your classroom. Or if the parents of the children are a hygienist or dentist, ask them if they can come in. It used to be in an area where dental practices during February (Dental Health Month). The officer would go to a classroom and hands on these items sponsored a dentist (or it was given freely by saying, Crest). Ask your personal DDS.

They must have information about local programs or statewide that are in your state and hygienists or dentists go to classrooms and to teach good dental hygiene, etc.
