Dental Tourism Hungary

Dental Tourism HungaryDental treatment in Hungary considered safe and is it good?

There are online advertising for dental tourism showing huge savings when you get dental treatment in Hungary and other European countries. I would like information about it.

I lived in Hungary for many years and never had major dental work, just regular cleanings, fillings, polishing, etc., but I always found to be excellent dental care with modern equipment and professional attitudes. However, I paid a heavy price for my dental care, if she was still a fraction of U.S. prices for the same work.

Basically, if you go to dental clinics that meet foreigners (there are lots of them), you will probably find work with high quality at a very reasonable price yet. These clinics derive most of their income on foreigners, so they retain their high level to maintain their reputation. The locals, with the exception of the richest, can not pay for these fresh high quality clinics.

As for Romania, you can find a similar situation in Hungary, but I personally would be a little more hesitant to submit my mouth Romanian dentists if I did not have a personal recommendation from someone I knew and trusted .

Guess what, Hungary is a normal country. you can find something in the fraud for their excellent services. On average, it may be a little cheaper than other places. Even Romania, which is even cheaper.

I am sure that dentistry in Hungary (and Romania) is safe and-wide. This is not the third world, after all.

It is impossible to say whether it is good, though. In my town, there are fewer than 20 dentists. Some of us are great and some of us are horrible. If you moved here from 100 miles and chose one at random, you have about a 20% chance of finding someone who I would not trust to treat my dog. How can you determine who is a "quality" dentist in a foreign country?

How in the world you'll know which dentist in a foreign country is good for you? It is difficult enough for people to find a good dentist in their own neighborhoods where they can get recommendations from friends and colleagues. What will you do if you have any dental problems six months after your return?

Alan M summarizes.
I recently had one patient who had extensive bridework made in Hungary. The quality was good, except the bridge was too long and I fear it will be marked in time to the forces of mastication. The color of porcelain was good but not extraordinary. I've seen worse done here in Australia. The price was about one third of the price Austn.
However, keep in mind that the woman had lived in Hungary most of his life, if she had friends and relatives to guide her to a good dentist, and she could not speak the language fluently. It does not pass through a system of tourism.
If you have a dentist at home you're comfortable, then this would be a lesser risk of a stranger in a foreign country against which you have no recourse if things go wrong. And the dental problems of faulty work may take some time to surface. If you've done OS, then always regular checks when you return.
