Emergency Dentist Uk

Emergency Dentist UkCan I have a dentist appointment emergency (UK)?

my wisdom teeth have grown about 70% through, but my inflamed gum a few days ago, im pretty bad pain especially when swallowing water, eating food is very difficult. She said during my first visit a year ago she would not remove them because they werent affected and six months ago, she said they looked OK.

I have an appointment for tomorrow morning but if I phoned back surgery they give me an emergency appointment, the pain becomes a real problem today.

im asking this question because im not sure of the procedures and criteria for an emergency appointment

I needed an emergency appointment last year when a tooth has collapsed and the earlist, I could have had it the next day, then u doubt I'll get a unit faster, you will just smile and bear it, so to speak, have you tried oil of cloves, its good for pain tempory .. x

Hi Hannah,

Ouch that sounds painful! Mine are coming through and painful for the moment too and when I visited my dentist told me to rinse my mouth with salt water and clean thoroughly at least twice a day with mouth wash and ensure there is no food stuck there, because it can cause inflammation and discomfort.
They would probably ask that you wait for your appointment tomorrow so they can have a good look at them, and if any work needs to be done for them, they can do in this appointment. The problem with emergency visits, there is a strict deadline so the dentist can have a little look at your wisdom teeth, but probably would not actually be able to do something thing.
I really want to give them a ring though if you're in pain and many are desperate to see someone today.

I hope this helps
Good Luck
Robin

If your wisdom teeth are impacted, so an emergency appointment shall not make any difference that you will only get painkillers, the tooth will probably be removed under anasthetic General Hospital.

You really should have sounded the operation earlier in the week when the problem began. If it's an infection, it has now received the week progressed more established. You need to ring back the transaction and ask for an emergency appointment today.
It is easier to get emerged in the regular intervention of trying to find a service not near existing emergency out of hours.

You can, but ring and ask.
Otherwise, call NHS Direct - 0845 4647 and they will tell you if a dentist near you that you as a patient emergency.

You did not need an emergency appointment as the only thing they can do is give you pain killers. Your wisdom teeth will probably move in a few days. Mine used to do many things and then they just stopped. If you want them removed, then call your dentist and make an appointment.
