Health insurance for children only? My employer covers my health insurance to 100%, but for my children through my work, it will cost me a small fortune each month. Are there any private insurance companies which I can only assure my children and not me? (I found a couple of sites but they are all asking for my information and I do not need insurance - my kids do.) Does anyone know of any company will ensure that my children, or do I ensure that?
Yes, they will write for children only. But I do not know that you're going to put any money doing this. group policies have a rich history of these benefits as an individual policy. you can get online quotes from all major insurance through their specific website. also, if your children have medical conditions (allergies or even asthma), their rate could be higher. on a group policy, things DONT matter. (Unless there is a pre-existing condition waiting period, talk to your HR)
Almost all companies will write to the children, only policies. Check with a local agent who works with all major companies in your area. The agent can ensure you get a policy for them that covers what you need covered and may explain the exclusions of the policies. There is no extra charge using an agent. Do not use the Internet, unless you want to take the chance of getting ripped off or get a policy that does not adequately cover.
Of course, many do. If your child is healthy, low-deductible policy will cost about $ 200 per month, per child. If children have something wrong with them or that the condition will be waived and the rate of increase or the insurance company will not take them all.
BCBS, in particular, will write children autonomous.
You can also check with the plan for your children to the state health insurance.
Yes, I do not understand why people look to the employer to ensure family members when it costs much more to do. Avoid sites that request and not communicate because they are not selling your name to countless sellers ... something good ... some bad.

In many states, it is possible to buy individual coverage for children only. Since insurance markets are different in each state, however, it is difficult to make a specific recommendation for you. The monthly premiums and the different types of services offered can also vary considerably.
Here are some suggestions:
* Talk to an authorized agent. It adds nothing to your final cost and an agent who represents more than one insurance company can help you understand what your real options.
* Take a look at your options online. Visit an online agency licensed as health insurance eHealthInsurance (where I work). On our site, for example, you can enter your zip code, and your child's age and sex (the list of your child in the candidate countries "field") to get a free quote and rate and review side benefit of another. You can apply online coverage, too. You'll want to think about what kind of coverage is most important to you. Like, are you willing to pay slightly more for co-payments or deductible in order to maintain low monthly rates, while maintaining coverage of serious illness in hospital? Or is it more important to you than the well-child visits and immunizations are covered with a minimum co-payment?
I just ran some quotes for a five year old boy living in California and found a range of different health plans available, ranging from just over $ 30 to $ 300 a month. Rates are subject to change course, and much depends on where you live, your child's health, etc., but perhaps gives you an idea of the range of possibilities.
