Heart Defib

Heart DefibIf a pregnant woman had a Heartattack and his heart stops you can safely perform CPR, or could you defib?

Can not be defibed electrocuting the fetus? saw this on TV and interviewed defibing?

Your first obligation is to the mother. If it does not, her baby has no chance to make it out alive in the prehospital setting. At this stage, the benefit to the mother clearly outweighs any risk to the baby.

You should take a CPR course through the Red Cross or your local fire department. The more people who know how to perform CPR and AED use, the better the general public.

Just like the first poster said - if a person is in cardiac arrest - pregnant or not - your first task is to do everything you can to save their lives.

Moreover, the baby does not do that if Mom is not alive, if you really do not but the choice to do what you have to do to revive the mother.

You can do both. You might need to move your hands above the chest to chest compressions. The shock of an AED is not enough to "electrocute" the baby.

Because the flow of electricity is to paddle to paddle, do not hurt the baby too, and if the mother dies, it will affect the baby even more.

Yes, you use an AED whenever possible.

well, you'd need anything for her not to die, then worry about the baby's health. Is the general rule.

The basic rule is to protect the mother, I know that sounds cold and certainly not something a mother wants (she said the baby save me if she could).
