Home Remedies For Whiter Teeth

I want to make my teeth look a little whiter, but I do not want to pay the ridiculous amount the dentist. Does anyone know of home remedies? I heard that baking soda worked.

why not buy the crest white strips they work and they are not too expensive. Baking soda will take stains off but it will take some time to launder
