Liver transplantation success rate? What is the success rate for someone with heppatitis C? Almost 45 years?
I can tell you the data for those who
transplant patients, but not specifically for
Hepatitis C reasons.
On the Network of Organ Sharing website.
http://www.unos.org/
If you click on data where it is said, what is
located on the lower right side ..
then on the next page on the left side:
Choose "National Data". At the next
screen, use the dropdown list and choose
"Survival" and then in the area from this
Choose "liver" ... You will need this data
card that gives you the age of persons who
were transplanted and the success of the latter in
percentage.
(I can not turn the last page on here ...
site ... you see the first page
Unos site. It must be the way they
put in place.)
From the year 2002-2004, the survival
rate of people aged 35-49 years.
"A year after they were transplanted ...
3957 has lived ... which makes 83% of total
people
From year 1999 to 2002, survival
rate of people aged 35-49 years.
"Three years after being transplanted ...
4613 were still alive ... which makes 72.7%
Total population
From year 1997 to 2000, survival
rate of people aged 35-49 years.
"Five" years after it was transplanted ...
3879 were still alive ... which makes 65.6%
of the total population.
It does not seem to have the latest data on
liver transplantation displayed anywhere but
I could find.
There are many causes of liver problems
and I have never seen an ad that showed just
for a particular cause.
Here is the best site on the
Web information for people with hepatitis C.
