Mini dental implants are right for me? I am 33 and a full denture. I had planned to have dental implants put in, but just discovered that I need a bone graft is severe. I do not think I can afford it, plus there's nobody in my area who can do (Orlando, FL). Am I a candidate for mini implants? Also, if I do not receive regular implants and bone graft, will be starting my face sag to have bone loss?
You will continue to bone loss with age, and probably lead to you looking a lot older than you really are and, possibly, may not even have enough bones to keep your dentures ... Mini Implants will still require an amount of bone to succeed and whether or not they would be good if you need to be evaluated in the same way as when you were told you had bone grafts.
Search in (if you were not already) to implants to support dentures, that way you will need fewer implants, less grafting. (You may need as few as 4 implants 2 down 2 up) will not be wearing dentures as the "Roof of your mouth will be discovered and will be fixed in your mouth.
If the price is a concern, going abroad on a "break dentistry is an option. For example, All-on-4 dental implants (implants full), plus permanent prosthesis is a solution for those with removable dentures. In many cases All-on-4 can be done without needing a bone graft because of the single implant procedure. All-on-4 implants more permanent prosthesis is a procedure approved by the FDA which was invented in Europe. There are many Western implantologists practical training in Bangkok.
The cost of the All-on-4 in the U.S. is between $ 20,000 - $ 30,000 by the jaw. In Bangkok, the All-on-4 procedure costs between $ 10,000 and $ 12,000 the jaw. 7-10 days is required to complete the procedure. It is important to note that not everyone is a candidate for All-on-4 and implantologist would need to see a digital radiograph of the patient's jaw to make that decision.
