Nuchal Translucency Test

I am 11 weeks pregnant and I go to the end of next week to test a combined NT and blood test and my first "official" OB's appointment. Has anyone had this test and can you tell me how long it takes to get results and what your first OB appt involved? I already had an ultrasound at 8 weeks to confirm pregnancy.

Hey! Bravo to you! I will also next week Thursday for this test. From what I understand, it takes about a week for blood work and complete results back ... but they will be able to tell you right away the chances "Low Down syndrome and other issues. For example ... I'm 25, so my chances are 1 in 1500 before the screening, I think. After ... the chances are better or worse depending on the extent of the tear in the neck. GOOD LUCK!
