Note on the issue of abortion Obama? It's frustrating me. On the one hand, I am not a supporter of abortion. On the other hand, I think the girls abroad in poor countries hit by the disease should have the right to obtain birth control from family planning clinics. This decision today applies only to international family planning clinics (not abortion clinics in particular) that Bush revoked. Bush cut all funding for abortion clinics, which also offered as an option (not an obligation ... we are not particularly funding abortions "now.)
Obama's decision affects international family planning clinics only. They are in third world countries that have no funding from their respective governments, but they provide an essential service for birth control for these desperately poor people, often suffering from AIDS or other diseases. Reagan, being pro-life, has deprived the international fund family planning clinics that also provided abortions. Before Reagan, there was no distinction.
Obama is not to allocate funds for abortions. It is fair to support family planning clinics. Then, please be aware. I agree it is a difficult question, and nobody wants to see abortions are performed. But there are girls with great health and financial issues, which need access to BIRTH CONTROL These clinics offer. This is the real issue, and that is why Obama restored funding. African countries have both a population explosion and an explosion of AIDS ... this does not seem to be a healthy combination. The United States has had a ban on the Reagan and Bush, no other presidents. We have always supported access to contraception abroad.
Perhaps there is some way we can help provide more guidance to these clinics, so they do not recommend abortion except in extreme cases. Me think that only women can decide if she can take care of a child ... anything in the first weeks may occur with pregnancy anyway. Who are we to judge if the mother feels her health is at risk if she feels she can give birth to a child? The abortions are sad and horrible and should not be taken lightly, but if you were a teenager with AIDS in Africa, honestly .... you do not think you should have the right to choose whether to carry a pregnancy to term? I'm sure many are choosing to give birth to this baby anyway, but it's really life-threatening. I can not even imagine what kind of life would be.
10 billion dollars Bush to Africa more than 10 years was the fight against AIDS and had nothing to do with birth control or family planning. However, because of beliefs bushes, the country could not get the money if they taught any form of birth control, including use of condoms to fight against the AIDS epidemic in Africa.
I do not think Obama decree had little to do with abortion, but was mainly used to remove restrictions that hamper the fight against AIDS.
Thank you. You sound like a very intelligent person
We do not have much funding if this economy continues
spiral of death until it is!
He is a guy in black who is now the new President of the United States and you hate to see that
we get
While I applaud your ability to write all this without being childish, like so many others when it comes to abortion debate, I disagree with some points you made.
First, provide advice to clinics so that they do not recommend abortion except in extreme cases - you are infringing on a woman's right to choose. You have no right to do so. Every woman in the world of absolute dominion over his own body and the biological functions of the latter. You can not believe that abortion is right, but that grants you the authority to never have one yourself, or to keep your underage daughter to have one. This is the measure of your right to intercede. .
