Organ Donation Education

Organ Donation EducationI want to be an organ donor, and I live in Pa, and I underwent chemotherapy for breast cancer.?

I am a survivor of breast cancer and continued my studies to get my degree as a paralegal associates. In one of my classes we were talking about living wills and organ donation. I asked my teacher if I would be able to donate because of my condition. I tried searching on the Internet, and has been unable to find anything concrete. Does anyone out there know the answer to this question?

Not in the United States. Once you were exposed to chemotherapy drugs, they circulate throughout your system. Plus the fact that you had cancer, because there is always the possibility that other cancer cell is hiding somewhere and it might be in the body that you give. The cancer cells can remain dormant for years and then return. again. Good for you on your studies. My sister is a paralegal and the money is too damn good. I hope you do well with it. God bless you.

In Australia, once you have been diagnosed with cancer, you are unable to give anything other than the cornea.

Instead, I have now decided to become a corpse for medical students.
