MarketplacePancreatic Cancer In Dogs What is your experience with dogs with cancer.? Hello everyone!
Im wondering what experiences have y'all had with dogs with cancer.
Nash, our white GSD has begun to lose weight at this time last year. We thought he had worms that we dewormed him. And he kept looseing weight and lose it quickly. He went from being a good 125 pounds to about 60 pounds in just over a month. He had lost all interest in food and have not any life in him.
Well, we rushed him to the vet. The vet decided to do an exploratory surgery on him to check for intestinal problems. and see if he could find no tumor.
Well, he did and he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer Nash. He said to use it to bring home Nash and make him comfortable and to establish an appointment later this week to put down.
Well just after the operation in which he removed the tumor Nash started eating again, gained weight and had life in him.
We decied to cancel his appointments for euthanasia and what if he started down the hill again.
Well, it was a year and our vet says that if he did not know better, he does not believe that Nash was beaten to death carries a year ago.
Saturday Nash celebrated his 9th birthday.
So what are your stories of cancer doggie?
How many times have you seen a dog go to the delivery of any treatment for cancer?
If your dog goes to the club how long did she live then?

I can not find any of my pictures from when he was sick. aww im so happy for you my jack russell / chihuahua Hunnie developed a lump on the side, nine months and had become lethargic, not hungry, and not just its energy independence. The vet took a biopsy and said it was a mast cell tumor if it has undergone emergency surgery. after surgery, she immediately improved without additional treatment. shes a year and a half now and still do good.

I had a dog I had when I was 4 years.
At 10 years, which is very rare for a Dane to live as long. She had cancer in his mouth. We removed. Other than cancer, she was perfectly healthy, she would have lived another 3 years.
Unfortunaly two months later the cancer returned. The vet said we could remove it, but it would just come back again. It would not have been right to put through the pain of surgery every two months just for us. We therefore decided to make it 11 years old.
It was a great and long life for such a great Dane. we have. Posted on March 12, 2010.
