Squamous Cell Carcinoma Treatment

My mother was diagnosed last month with NSCLC / squamous cell carcinoma. It is Stage3.She saw her oncologist this week to reconsider his treatment plan. It seems fairly aggressive: Radiation every day and at the same time as chemotherapy 2days/week for two months, and then chemotherapy alone for 2-3 months.

I know that the radiation / chemo is very difficult for a person in relatively good health (healthy other than cancer), she also has cirrhosis of the liver and anemia.Her oncologist was not concerned with cirrhosis ( or interested in the 12 drugs my mother has said and talk to his family doctor). We asked him to have a second opinion / consultation.

I tried searching for information about the effects of chemo someone cirrhosis aw /, but only find information on cancer.Is liver there is information re: chemo and cirrhosis?
