Tb Test While Pregnant

Neither do I have to pass a TB test or chest x-ray done for a class I take. Do you know if I can do one or the other - or should I just get my doctor to give me a ticket. I am 21 weeks along. Thank you for your help: o)

X-rays are generally not recommended, in general, unless you really have to have one. And you're supposed to wear protective equipment double layer around the stomach. Thus, for a chest X-ray ... No, I do not want. I must have a TB on the job each year, and I asked my doctor if he was allowed to take during pregnancy. She said it was not detrimental to all. In fact, I had done about 20 weeks, too!

If your class has been telling you to get the chest X-ray too, then you need to obtain an excuse from your doctor.

Tuberculosis is not a testing problem at all. Avoid chest radiograph. This should be obvious!

My doctor advised me not to because he did not know if it could harm the baby. Talk to your doctor and see what he / she says.

My OBGYN told me to get tested for TB (I have been vaccinated for it as a child) ... when it came up positive (because I have been vaccinated), it remains ordered me to take a chest x-ray ... I think I was about 18 weeks along .... Was worried, but they cover your belly up very good .... my son is now 15 months old ... Fortunately, it is healthy as can be .... But let me say if you can, avoid having to take x-rays, unless you have a positive outcome because it could cause complications for you and the baby during pregnancy.
