What is an activity that is fun while at the same time he teaches viral STDs? I have a project for religion classes about STDs and part of it is an activity that involves the whole class (about 20 people). I do not know what to do, do you have any suggestions?
I created a game using construction paper. Everyone is a leaf, but one person becomes red. (I always try to have someone who does not speak much for the red), please tell me the group to talk with each other for about 20 minutes. What should happen is when two people are speaking their tear the paper in half so that each person has two pieces of paper. Each time they move to a new person they tare the whole paper in half. After 20 minutes I asked the group to sit down and the person who had a red paper that they had spoken with, I can have these people standing on the side. The rest of the people seated, I asked who had red paper. I then inform them that they got the STD red the first person that I was standing. They look confused.
This where I explain how STDs and HIV is transmitted. The person who had the red paper, he gave a few people and they have given to others.
It can be a game very powerful if the group understands that being a "lot" of partners can give you a better chance of getting the "red" against STDs. I also see how many people have the red paper more than once. This helps the group understand that if there is not a barrier or fewer partners there are more risks of contracting an STD or HIV.
something you go into the room, perhaps as a cup. everyone gets a cut and the bottom of things, he said, "you have an STD, it is ..." and so whether one of three people infected with HPV, then make figures, and if a 5 have herpes ... so also do the same thing about the pregnancy and give facts that will scare the crap out of them!
